Early Voting Schedule

In the state of Ohio, citizens can vote for their candidate up to twenty-eight days before the election, longer if they are in the military or overseas. You can check the full schedule as it is updated, along with finding places for you to vote early.

Election Day Voting

  • June 2, 2020
  • Polls open 6:30 A.M.
  • Polls close 7:30 P.M.

Early in-person voting 

  • Begins February 19th
  • Monday – Friday 8 A.M. – 5 P.M.
  • Saturday 8 A.M. – 4 P.M.
  • June 1st 1 P.M. – 5 P.M.
  • June 1st 8 A.M. – 2 P.M.

Abentee voting by mail

  • Must be postmarked by June 1, 2020
  • Begins Febuary 19, 2020

Military and overseas absentee voting

  • Begins January 31, 2019
  • Must be postmarked by June 1, 2020

Where to Vote Early

You can vote early at the Montgomery County Board of Elections. The MCBOE is located in the basement of the Montgomery County building at 451 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45422.

How to Get to Early Voting

The entrance to the public parking garage for the MCBOE is located off W. Second St. between the entrance to I-75 South and the Montgomery County Jail. Parking is free for voters coming to Early Voting. Once you have parked, go into the Lobby of the County Building, then follow the signs down the escalators to Early Voting. In most elections, Early Voting will be located in our office on the Mezzanine (basement). In larger, even-year elections Early Voting will be located on the Lower Level.
